Ontario Attractions Review: African Lion Safari
I recently spent the day at African Lion Safari with my sister who was visiting from Saskatoon and my two girls, ages 2 and 4. I had been there before, but this was the first time with the children being old enough that we could spend more then a few hours in the park without having to be concerned about them needing a nap.
I was a bit worried since it was a Sunday during summer holidays and I know from going to some other parks in the summer, there are so many people that you spend half the day waiting in long line-ups and you do not have much fun at all. This was not the case on this visit. I was impressed with how many options there was at the Mombasa Market Restaurant for food and drinks and how quick the staff was. This made the day so much easier and we experienced much more than just line-ups!
We started with the Elephant Swim and this was adorable. The girls were thrilled to see the baby elephants playing in the water. They wanted to partake in the experience so the next stop was the water park- Misumu Bay Wet Play area. This has to be one of the best water parks I have ever been to. There were so many options for sprayers, pools of water and slides. The children would have been content to spend the whole day there, but were unaware what else the park had in store for them.
The park also has a scenic train ride that you can view the animals and some of the beautiful nature that surrounds the area. Plus if you want to check it out by water, there is a boat option aboard the African Queen.
On top of those tours there were additional educational shows with birds and elephants. It was beautiful to see all the different animals, yes even the fruit bat looked cute from afar :-). My youngest absolutely adored the goats in the petting zoo @ Pets Corner.
The kids got to play around on the equipment @ Jungle Playground to run off some steam before we went and traveled through the game reserves to see all the wild animals roaming free. Being able to watch the animals without wire between you is an experience in itself! We took our vehicle but there is an option for a fee to use their Safari Tour Bus. In the past the monkeys were all over the vehicles but the staff made sure people didn’t feed them during this visit.
This was one of the best days that we spent this summer and it was even better that we saved some money using the Attractions Ontario $2 off e-coupon at admission! During the summer months prices are: Adult (13-59) $29.95, Seniors (60+) $27.95, Children (3-12) $24.95
This is definitely a must see for all ages if you are coming to visit Ontario or if you are a resident.

Prairie Naturals-Review and Giveaway
Weeks back I had contacted Prairie Naturals to see if they would be interested in working with me to host a review and giveaway. Let me just say I was thrilled when the answer came back yes!!
After having children I began focusing more on having healthier products in our home and became more cautious of my actions and how they would affect the future. Although I was making our home healthier and doing our part for the environment, along the way I forgot to take care of myself. Just before I started this blog I came to a point when I realized I had been getting sick too much, I was always feeling drained and although I was happy with my life. I was not 100% happy with myself within it. I was working so hard to get everything done and make sure everyone was taken care of, but I forgot about taking care of myself. So I began to make the effort to make myself a priority as well.
With starting to make myself a priority a few of the things I started was eating better, more fruits and vegetables were on the menu and I started to attend the gym more regularly. Then I came across Prairie Naturals, just like it was fate. They carry a wide variety of natural hair and body and nutritional products. Then I though what better way to incorporate fruits and vegetables into my life then smoothies!!! YUMMY!!!
I had tried through the years other brands of Protein Powders, but their taste in the smoothie was less than desired. There definitely would be no hope I would drink it any other way if fruit and vegetables could not even hide the flavor. Prairie Naturals, has a Strawberry Raspberry flavor and it was a easy choice for me and I knew what I wanted to try!
I am so happy to say that this is by no doubt the best protein powder I have ever had! I loved it so much that I not only drank it with smoothies, but on those days when I did not have enough time I could mix it in with juice or even just water and it still tasted fabulous!
I am coming to the end of my tub and will definitely be going out to get myself a replacement! I have felt great while I have been taking it and it has become an important part of my new healthier routine!!

Want learn more about Jacqui? Keep reading to hear what she has to say:
1.) What got you interested in Blog Design?
What got me interested is that I couldn't find any "pre-made" designs out there that I liked for my blogs so I started to create my own. I started to learn the HTML of it all and got to work on creating my own designs. soon after I started to do little designs for blogger friends and it just took off from there. One of the people I was creating for told that I should start my own business. From then on I have been working on it.
2.) What kinds of things will be happening during your launch party?
Prizes, 12 Prizes will be given away: Buttons, Animated Headers, some packages and i will be giving away as a grand prize "Every thing I Can Do" blog re-design package.
also if you would like to purchase any of my 2 largest packages within the week of my launch party they will be 25% off.
3.) What is the one thing that you would like your potential clients know?
As of right now I'm only doing blogger blogs. Wordpress will come soon but I want to learn everything about blogger designs before I start on Wordpress.
I make fresh and clean designs, I want to make your blog to look amazing. I don't mess with the template much so your page will not take forever to load like other designers layouts do. If you mess with the codes in the template a lot, or have a really complicated template installed your page will load really slow, and readers do not like that. they want to go on to your blog and read not have to wait 1-3 minutes for your whole page to load.
I DO NOT ask for your Blogger password at all during the design process. I don't not feel comfortable giving my password out to anyone so I would not ask you to do the same. I know that people contact me about this and when I tell them that I don't need the password to install the design they are shocked since all the other designers ask for it. From what I have seen with other designer sites are that I'm the only one that doesn't ask for your password. (and I'm the cheapest and I give you a whole lot for bang for your buck).
I will make your blog look the way you want, I will involve you into the process also. I will send you everything little thing i create for your approval, if you don't like the font i will change it. if you do like it at all I will create something that you are happy with. after I have installed your design and let say a month passes by and you want me to change the font or want it to say something else I will change it for you at no cost to you. I want to make you the buyer happy no matter what.
4.) What should potential clients know before contacting a blog designer? Before contacting a blog designer you should know what you want, and the feel you want for you blog. so you want it to reflex what you blog about (being a stay at home mom, giveaways, hobby's) ; do you want it to have a certain theme (stars, clouds, flowers); and what colors do you want it to have. If you don't know what you want or any ideas you have for your blog I will help you in any way I can, I'll try to get ideas from what you already have as a blog design or what you write about.
You should feel 100% comfortable with the designer before you purchase and ask questions if you have any before buying.
HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

SmartKnitKIDS Socks Review and Giveaway
I have to say anything that makes my morning routine any easier for me I love. Who would have thought that a pair of socks would be able to do this!!!
I have two girls (one is 4 soon and one is 2 soon) and they both are very independent and anything that they can do on their own the better. I can not say how many mornings I have had with my eldest crying out of frustration because she is having problems putting her socks on. She wants to do it all on her own, however, it seems the heel always ends up on the top or else the toes are all crooked.
I can not explain in enough words how excited I was once it was time for summer. The less clothes the better and the less headache I have so VERY early in the morning. Then I came across SmartKnitKIDS socks and fell in love.
These socks are TOTALLY seam free and have NO heels so they are the easiest socks my daughter has ever been able to put on. All she needs to do it pull them on and there is no more tears or crying and better yet she is so proud of herself every time she puts them on as they are now always correct!
If less headaches and no tears in the morning is not enough check out the full features of these socks:

Book Review: The Host
I recently decided that it was important for me to take some time for myself among all the hustle and bustle of everyday life, reading is one way I am taking that time. I just finished reading the book "The Host" by Stephenie Meyer. Yes I read "The Twilight Saga" and I had heard good things about this book, but I had never read anything before by choice that could be classified as Science Fiction.
The Host tells a story about our world as we no longer know it being taken over from an enemy we did not even know we had. Talk about tricky :-) These enemy "souls" are implanted into humans and take over their minds, but continue the rest of the humans daily life unchanged. So if you didn't know better you may not even realize your loved one was not fully there until it was your turn.
There are only a few humans that are not fully taken over by these enemies and Melanie is one of them. The enemy soul, Wanderer, that was inserted into Melanie is thrown in a loop when her human host Melanie does not fully succumb. The soul and mind of the human are able to hold internal conversations and sometimes Melanie is able to take over control.
Wanderers job is to crack into Melanie's mind and find out all that she is hiding and where the remaining humans are. In the process of doing this the soul, Wanderer, ends up falling in love with Jared who is Melanie's human love. The two of them (like split personalities within ones mind) begin working together and start building a bond and head out on a dangerous journey to find the man that they are both in love with.
I honestly loved this book! I have to say I am still not sure if I felt the beginning was slow or if there was so much going on that I was just lost. Though I did stick with the book and after the first few chapters I was able to understand better what was going on and comprehend the internal struggle the human and the soul were having.
I ended up falling in love with this soul called Wanderer and I even cried a few times in the book. Okay, I am a bit of a sap in books, but this author manages to get you to see humanity in a different way and look at ourselves from the outside in.
I would say this book is a must read and definitely a more mature read then her previous novels, but equally lovable! I can not wait until the sequels, yes I read somewhere there will be a few novels in the series. I wonder movie blockbuster again?
Thanks for everyone stopping by from the Thursday blog hop :-)

Tuesday Tag Along!!!
Tuesday Tag-Along button art adapted from the "Follow the Leader" illustration by Diana Jones. I encourage you to visit her at her blog, Sketch & Jones, and her online shop to see more great illustrations and all sorts of wonderful crafts!
Without further ado...
Here's how it works:
* Create a new Tuesday Tag-Along blog post. Include the Tuesday Tag-Along button by copying and pasting the code above. (You are also welcome to copy and paste these instructions in their entirety, or any portion of this Tuesday Tag-Along blog post!)
* Add your blog name and the URL of your TTA post to the MckLinky below.
* Follow Twee Poppets, the hostess blog listed in the first slot. Twee Poppets will follow you back! (Note: If you want Twee Poppets to follow you back, you MUST leave her a comment saying that you are a new follower and leave a link to your blog!)
* Follow the Blog Hopper of the Week, listed in the second slot. To learn how to be chosen as the Blog Hopper of the Week, read the red text below.
* If you can, please follow the blogs in the three slots before you (e.g., if you're number 20, follow numbers 19, 18, and 17). This is not mandatory, but it will help ensure that everyone who signs up gets a few new followers!
* Follow as many other blogs as you want. The more you follow, the more that will follow you back! Be sure to tell them that you're following from Tuesday Tag-Along! You may also want to leave a link to your blog so they can return your follow more easily.
* When you get a new follower through Tuesday Tag-Along, be sure to follow them back! It's just common courtesy. :)
The weekly Tuesday Tag-Along MckLinky opens every Monday night at 8:59pm Pacific Standard Time (that's 11:59pm Eastern Standard Time), and the TTA blog post will be posted well in advance of that time. The MckLinky will be open to add your blog until 11:59pm Tuesday night. You then have all week long to visit blogs and return follows!
There is a new list every week. The link you enter one week will not carry over to the next week's MckLinky. Please link up again each week to join in the fun!
Tuesday Tag-Along Blog Hopper of the Week:
Note: To be eligible to be Blog Hopper of the Week, you MUST place the Tuesday Tag-Along button somewhere on the main page of your blog or website (Inside a blog post does NOT count; it must be on the actual page, e.g. in the sidebar. And since I'll be checking for it manually, I must be able to actually find it). If the randomly-drawn winner does not meet this condition, a new winner will be randomly selected. If you do not want to place the TTA button on your site, you are still more than welcome to join in the blog hop, you will just not be eligible to be the Blog Hopper of the Week.
Each week, one blog will be chosen randomly from all the links, and that lucky blog will be placed in the desirable second slot for the following week's MckLinky!
This week's lucky blog hopper is #74 - Cut and Dry. Congratulations!

Describe your life in one word
Busy
Is there something you wish you had learned how to do as a child?
Tons of things. I was a very shy kid and therefore missed out on doing a lot because I was too stubborn and shy. Here's to learning new things as an adult now :-)
Who has been the biggest influence on your life?
My children and a huge influence in my life right now.
What is your greatest dream/hope/aspiration?
I hope my children live a long and healthy, happy life and have a fulfilling life and never forget to give back to others as well!
and finally...
Do you believe you have reached your potential? Why/why not?
No. I think there is so much more that I can do in this life and wont be fully happy until I do that!
Winner!!
So its been a crazy busy long weekend! I am slowly getting ready for our vacation next week and getting the house ready for my sister who is coming to watch the kids and dogs, along with that it was our anniversary long weekend. If things are not crazy enough our dogs got out of the yard Friday morning and after 1.5 hrs searching for them with my two little ones with me and having my eldest sing "where are my doggies, I miss my doggies" as we are driving around. Needless to say when someone showed up at my house who had found them I was a balling baby.
We live close to a very busy street and my two dogs ended up crossing the street to go to a farm that happens to be positioned in the middle of the city. So out a place but a hidden blessing for my family as my dogs went for the horses and the owners ended up getting them and putting them in a stable!
My little one is not so good with strangers and this was a blessing in disguise that it was this family who found them. I have a 20 pound dog and a 50 pound dog. Most people are scared of the big one and go to pick up my small one....which is never a good idea as he'd bite as my one vet said he's got insecurity issues :-)
Well everyone is home and healthy and on another happy note I am going to announce the winner of my Mabel's Labels giveaway!!
Congrats to :MelissaStuff She was lucky comment #80 that was picked by Random.org. I'll be contacting her by email as as the rules stated she has 72hrs to respond before a new winner is picked!
I hope you all had a great weekend and Happy Monday!
