Book Review: French Twist by Glynis Astie

My Review:

While I tend to gravitate towards paranormal romantic novels I found  the characters in French Twist ,Sydney and Louis, to be ironically very easy to relate to.  I had a very similar whirlwind romance with my husband many years ago ( I moved to his country)....while I have for years contemplated our decision to not have the big weddings I still got my dream husband and all that entails- this book has helped me to feel satisfied in this decision.  I wasn't aware of such disastrous ways brides must feel leading up to that "one day" and am relieved I missed the stress!

I enjoyed the family dynamics and the clear ability of Sydney to let others laugh at her expense as this is my method as well.  I really liked the "family trials" to see if the partner is worthy as it also reminds me of how the men in my life did something similar to my husband and how he passed with flying colors. I enjoyed this read immensely and even if I couldn't relate to the characters so well think the writer captured the essence of the story very beautifully.

Be sure to come by the blog tomorrow to check out the review for the latest book French Toast!
