All I want for Christmas is..... Little Diva Tutus
Be sure to check out the "All I want for christmas giveaways" All end Dec 15th!!!
I have to say that I completely believe that a higher power brought myself and Little Diva Tutus together. Earlier this year I was surfing the internet and had my Twitter open and saw a Tweet from someone I follow saying that another angel gained her wings and to pray for the family. I was saddened by this and went to send my thoughts and prayers to the family. When I did this I ended up finding out all about this beautiful family, The Marsh Family, who had just lost their daughter to Cancer
Many of you may already know about sweet Layla Grace and her story that her family blogged about what they were going through and about the brave and strong 2 year old. This really hit home for me as having two little girls literally one was 3 and my youngest was 1. It makes you realize this could have happened to any one of us. Many of us have been affected by Cancer, but I have never known anyone that has lost a child to a terminal disease like neuroblastoma, or the low survival rate and the horrible steps families have to go through to try and cure their children from this disease. I remember reading the blog that the family wrote and crying non stop as you truly got to love the whole family as your own. If you are not familiar or if you haven't check out their foundation page please take some time to do that today. http://laylagrace.org/
I saw that this company named Little Diva Tutus had a fundraiser for the family and knew this was something I could definitely help with. I got my girls some Tutus and Beanies and I loved when we went out and everyone would ask about their Layla Grace tutu, I could tell them about this great company, great tutus and a great family.
Everything that I have gotten from Little Diva Tutus has been fabulous and I have had friends and family buy items too and loved every thing that they got. Like the name, once the children put on their Tutu's the true diva comes out of them. I have had many arguments with the girls as to why they would need to take off their tutus. What I think is fabulous as well is that the tutus come in sizes newborn to ADULTS!! Yes no matter the age they can make a tutu for you.
Though do not be fooled by the name! Little Diva Tutus carries more then just Tutus and they even have items that would be perfect for the little men in your life. From shirts to beanies, leg warmers, wings. You name it they have something that your little one will love and the quality is fabulous as well.
BUY IT!!!!
I definitely have to say if you have a little one that you will be shopping for this holiday season be sure to head on over to Little Diva Tutus and make your little ones dream come true and check out their great fundraisers and help make a difference while you shop!
WIN IT!!!

I have teamed up with some other fabulous blogs to have a bunch of giveaways from now until December 15th. Be sure to check out all of our giveaways listed under my reviews and giveaways page! Now on to my FIRST giveaway for ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS!!
Finding the perfect steak sauce is a search that I can say had came to the end and if that wasn't enough it is an all purpose sauce so you can use it for more then just your steaks! I have to say I was very excited when Country Bob's told me that I was going to be able to try their product and on top of that I was going to have a giveaway for my readers. I had heard many positive reviews about their products, but as I live in Canada I had not been able to find a store that carried the product.
As many Canadians when I love a product I do not care where it is I will get it. Especially with living so close to the US/CDA border it makes it a bit easier and if all else fails I know puppy dog eyes and sincere please will get results from friends or family who are traveling to the US.
From the Country Bob's website: "It was 1968 when Country Bob Edson perfected his steak sauce recipe and he called it an All Purpose Sauce because it was more than just a steak sauce. Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce has remained the flagship item since 1982 when Country Bob, Inc. was established.
Along the way we have been dedicated to offering our customers the best tasting and highest quality steak sauce or All Purpose Sauce (gluten free), Barbeque Sauce (gluten free), and Seasoning Salt available anywhere in the world.
To accomplish this we have placed our trust in God and we believe that goal has been achieved."
I received two bottles of their famous sauce to try and I have to say everyone that tried it loved it. I was worried a bit what my children would think of it, but no matter what I included it in the gobbled it down!
BUY IT!!
You definitely have to go out and buy a bottle of this fabulous all purpose sauce with your groceries this weekend. Don't have a location near you shop online at their website which is very user friendly.
WIN IT! Two lucky readers of mine in the US will each win TWO bottles of their All Pupose sauce!

Movie Review: Tangled
As the girls are getting older we have recently started watching more movies at home. This has been more of a trial run as to how content my two year old would be staying still for that long. Surprisingly, she had been doing really well and we had decided that it was about time to take them to the theater. You can imagine I was more then thrilled when I had been contacted about doing a review for Disney's new movie Tangled.
Tangled is based on Disney's take on the classic tale that many of us know from when we were young. I found when I mentioned to friends I was going see the new Disney's princess movie, a lot of people said they were not familiar with her. However, once I said the line "Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair" everyone remembered the fairy tale from their childhood.
The movie starts off with Disney's version of how Rapunzel became trapped in the tower in the middle of no where. The Queen has fallen ill during child birth and in order to save the Queen and his unborn child the King sends his men to look for this flower that has been hidden, that stories tell can heal any sickness. The problem is that the flower had been hidden by an evil women who was using its powers to stay young.
The Kings men were able to get the flower and it saved the Queen and their baby, though like the flower, Rapunzel, was born with the healing power and it is all in her golden hair. This of course makes the evil women want her for her very own. Which she achieves once she steals Rapunzel from the nursery and raises her as her own.
Rapunzel's story is one that parents and children will equally love. This is not your typical princess we are dealing with and not the typical love story. Rapunzel is able to take care of herself, (I love the frying pan!!!) yet at the same time she does still need some rescuing. As for the love between Rapunzel and Flynn it is one that evolves over time in result to the two working together for a common goal.
We saw the movie in 3D animation and there was both good and bad aspects of this. My youngest, who is two, refused to put the glasses on and my eldest, who is four, was scared of the movie for the first bit. She decided halfway through the movie not to wear the glasses anymore and then she was content to watch the movie and not as scared. However, she still stayed in her daddy's lap for the duration of the movie. :-)
I thought the 3D aspects were neat and loved some of the effects with parts of the movie coming out at you. Though, I do not think it was something my little ones would have needed, to them the movie was real as it is and they don't need to feel anymore involved in it. Though for parents that have older children this would have been great for them.
I would definitely recommend for everyone to check out Tangled while it is in theaters as you need to fully appreciate the beauty of the work that Disney has created. Though I do have to warn if you if your at all like me you may shed a tear in front of your children.:-)
I have also read through various media lines that this will be the last Princess movie that Disney will be putting out for now. I truly hope this will not be the last that I see in my lifetime, but in any case Disney, as always you made a fabulous movie that the whole family can enjoy.

I've Been Tagged!!
Here are the rules...
She asks me 8 questions, I answer them and then I tag 8 friends and ask them 8 questions :) Sounds like fun so lets get started...
1) What is your favorite food?
I have always had a sweet tooth, so anything with sugar I of course will love, but I also love many different ethnic foods. To say I have one would be impossible. I just love food in general :-)
2) What do you love most about blogging?
I love being able to talk about something that is not always child related being a mommy you forget how much non mommy things happen in the world or you forget to talk about this and blogging gives me a chance!
3) Favourite time of year?
I love Christmas. Something about having children now and seeing the smiles on their face. No matter how commercialized it has become I can always look at my girls and see the true meaning of it.
4) What is one thing you can not live without?
Mommy time. No matter what it may be I have to take some time to do something that I do not have to do. Whether its just sitting with my eyes shut, laying down for a minute or going out with fellow mommies. Life will go on if I do not do these thing, but I definitely wont be the best I can be!
5) What is the last movie you watched?
Well it was a old one from the library and it was call 'Meet Bill' It was alright, nothing tooo special.
6) If you could visit anywhere in the world...where would it be?
I would love to see LA, London, New York again and New Orleans
7) What do you listen to when driving?
Well if my children are in the car it will be a CD of theirs currently it is Bobs and Lolo. If my children are not in the car it is either the radio of a I a USB stick with various songs on it from oldies to newbies rap to classical. :-)
8) What is your favorite TV show?
Right now it is The Vampire Diaries, I think my previous post might have given that away :-)
The people I'm tagging are...
Ten Talents
The Knit Wit
Thrifty Canucks
Avon with Farah
The Mom Road
Ins and Outs
Three Boys and an Old Lady
And these are the questions for them to answer...
1.) How Long have you been blogging and why did you start?
2.) What is your favorite thing about yourself?
3.) Who is your favorite music artist and why?
4.) If you could be anyone for a day who would you be?
5.) When was the last time you read a book and what was it?
6.) If you could visit anywhere in the world...where would it be?
7.) What is your favorite childhood treat?
8.) What is your favorite T.V. show?
I hope everyone has fun with it. It's a fun way to learn a little more about each other.
When did Vampires go from Scary to Sexy??
So I have never really been into vampires. Sure I've watched movies with them. Heck I remember Brad Pitt in his movie "Interview with a Vampire". However, I watched the movie and then that was all it was. No more, no less. It was a movie and I had no allure or attraction to him as that character. Sure I think Brad Pitt is good looking, but again nothing stuck with me.
For those of you that have been reading my blog for sometime, well you really have to view it once and see my Edward button, to know I adore Robert Pattinson (aka Edward). Since I loved the Twilight series, friends had recommended that I check out "The Vampire Diaries"(TVD). So like any good friend would :-) I got the books and read them. The first book I read out of the series I liked, but still Twilight was my favorite. The more of the books I read the more I fell in love with the series. I had heard about the show, but as must people find once you read the book and watch the show you end up disspointed. However, I am pleased to say I have watched every single episode and caught myself up, I was about 1.5 yrs behind, and LOVE the show. There has been many changes from the book, but nothing that brought down the novels, if anything it has enhanced them!
The show has the same characters and some new ones and I love where the writers and the directors have taken the show. Plus it is great to see new fresh young actors and actresses that can actually act and I love the fact that the lead actress in the show Nina Dobrev is CANADIAN. Yes I watched her when she was on Degrassi: The Next Generation :-)
Now onto the topic of my post when did Vampires become sexy??? What is it about young men over 100 that women of all ages are attracted too? Ian Somerhalder who plays Damon Salvatore on TVD was on "Lost" he's been on other shows, but I never noticed him and he didnt stick out to me. Paul Wesley plays Stefan Salvatore and as well had many different appearances, but again never noticed him. So it can not be their looks alone that draw these women towards them. Their character has a large part in this and that is where I wonder what is it about these Vampires that have women loving them so much and not afraid of what they represent??

Alright something weird about me.... I have never really been into traditional breakfast meals. Sue I do eat them but if in a rush I'd eat whatever I was feeling like and normally it would be cold. My mom still bugs me about eating cold pork chops when in high-school. Guess who still does some days :-)

Out to lunch!
Sadly I have not had a lot of time lately to blog about some of the great things that have been going on in my life. Of course there have been a lot of not so good things, but I think we as a society tend to focus too much on the negative and not so much on the positive!
One of the biggest things right now it that my eldest daughter Miss J has started full day kindergarten! I have to be honest and say that I am still trying to adjust to this new schedule. I think the kids have adjusted a lot better then me. :-) Miss J will be 4 December 1st and her school was one of the schools in our province that has started full day kindergarten. She goes from 830-300 M-F and I am happy to say she LOVES it! Shes a very friendly kid so I was not too worried about her liking it or not, I was more worried about the full day.
First off I give my children naps, my girls are 21 months apart and I found this was such a important part of the day because when they were smaller this was the only time mommy got to rest and do some other things around the house if needed. Of course us mommy's know there is ALWAYS something that needs to get done in the house...lol So now with Miss J being in school full days that meant that I had to have my youngest napping and up by 240 the latest so I could get her sister. This is not always so easy as if we are out running errands I have to always make sure we are home in enough time to do lunch and allow her enough time to sleep...and me to get supper started.
The second part about me getting worried falls back onto me..yet again. I am not sure if you are seeing the trend here, but it seems like I am the biggest problem :-) With my eldest going to school full days and I work evenings outside of the home I do not get to see her for as much as I would love to in a day. Yes, if I had a choice I would keep them this age forever and we would not age. Heck, I wouldn't mind myself going back a few years in age :-)
I do have to say the one thing that I am loving so much about this is that I am able to spend a lot more one on one time with my youngest. Miss K just turned two yesterday and with her sister being in school a few weeks now I have just figured out my youngest LOVES to shop. She is always asking if we go out if we are going to go shopping and she truly does not care what store we go to. Before shopping trips were not always so much fun as trying to entertain two kids in a store is not as much fun as most seem to think. I honestly do not know the last time I went to a store and bought shoes for myself prior to my eldest being in school! Guess what I can't say that anymore. In one morning I managed to go to 3 stores with my youngest and that same morning find shoes for a wedding that I am in next month. I can not say in words how excited I was (not to mention that I found shoes for $13.00).
Well that is just one of the great things that has been going on in my world lately and I can not wait until I have some time to share what else :-)
I have some pictures I'll share from her first day of school....I just have to find the camera :-)

New Wednesday Blog Hop
I was notified about this new blog hop and i thought it looked like fun so I signed up and think you should join in too :-)
Hmm now I have to think about something weird that I do....I think the first thing my husband would say is he thinks i'm a bit "out to lunch" sometimes. He can tell by looking at me that I am having an internal conversation with myself. Nothing is being said but by my facial expressions you can tell I not sitting there thinking nothing...lol
Thankfully only my husband has told me this soo I'm hoping I don't do it all the time...I hope... :-)
Haha, but I really do know when I am doing this its usually when i am anticipating something thats going to happen and i'm playing out the scenario in my head... I just forget that maybe others can tell lol

Review:The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
I had asked a bunch of family and friends on my facebook if they had any suggestions about books to read. I received many great suggestions, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, was one of them. I have to be honest and say that this would not have been a book that normally I would pick up and read. I would have looked at the style and the era it was written in and probably looked over it. I am so thankful that my friends mother suggested it to me or I would have missed out on this fabulous story.
The book takes place in 1946 just after the second world war. Juliet Ashton is a writer had been looking for a topic to start writing her second novel. Juliet receives a letter from a man from Guernsey who has lived through German occupation of his homeland and found Juliet's name in a Charles Lamb book. The two of them begin a correspond and with this Juliet learns about The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. This society was born out of a reasoning as to why they had been out past curfew when caught by the Germans and was a spur of the moment alibi to save them from great punishment.
Juliet becomes so interested in the people of Guernsey that she starts corresponding to many of the individuals that were part of the book society and begins to find out through them about one another and what life was like for them during the war. Juliet falls in love with their story and decided that she is going to base her new novel about them, but also decided she needs to meet all of them. So she ends up setting sale for Guernsey and her life changes forever once she gets there.
This story is told in a very unique way as though someone had found the letters and placed them all together to write the novel. This novel makes you feel as you are reading lost letters of someone that could have been a relative, but you get to know all the characters as though they are truly friends of yours.
I would definitely recommend this novel to everyone and I guarantee it can fit into your life style. You can read one letter a day or get immersed in the story like I did and finish it way too quickly! The story and the characters will seem so real to you, that like me, you may find it hard to believe that it is in fact a fictional story.
Happy Reading Everyone and be sure to stop by after you have read it and let me know what you thought :-)
