CakeVase: Review and Giveaway

When it comes to sweets I am such a kid!  I love anything that has sugar on it and usually the sweeter it is the more I will love it :-)  Which is not always a good thing, but I try to make as much as I can from home so that at least I know what is going into it and exactly how much sugar it has.

The only problem I have is when it comes to making cakes is the appearance.  I can make a decent tasting cake, but when it comes to decorating I truly lack and skill.  Uusally I will make it with the kids and therefore when it does not look like a masterpiece then at least I can blame the 2 or 4 year old for designing it. LOL  Luckily my kids are not old enough now so they do not notice. :-)


I happened to be searching online one day looking for different cake recipes and I ended up coming across CakeVase and was so intrigued by this product.  You can tell just by looking at the product it is so easy to use that even someone like me who might lack in the skills would be able to create a homemade work of art.  The CakeVase is a durable plastic that you can wash and reuse and it has small spikes that you press onto the cake you either bought or made.  Then you are able to decorate the cake with any flowers that you like and you do not need to worry about the flowers touching the cake.  The CakeVase also has a place for water to go into it to keep the flowers fresh so you are able to make the cake in advance and it will still look just as beautiful when your guests come.
